I have led improv and communication workshops for such clients as Cigna, the Minneapolis School District, The Minneapolis Idea Open, and Calyx.
I have performed in numerous television commercials, independent films, and on stage at venues including the Guthrie, the Bryant-Lake Bowl, and the Brave New Workshop.
I am an adjunct faculty member at Metropolitan State University, Minneapolis Community & Technical College (MCTC), the University of Minnesota, St. Catherine University and the University of St. Thomas.
My plays and sketches have been performed at the Brave New Workshop, the Lowry Lab, the Theater Garage, the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, and on video and in film.
There is a man named Jim Robinson. He is one of my favorite human beings. He is tall, handsome, intelligent, hilarious and—more often than not—openly bewildered by life.
When we broke into our smaller groups my team worked with Jim, and I wanted to make sure I shared what an EXCELLENT teacher he is. A lot of the people in our group were very much outside of their comfort zones but he created a very safe and fun space for everyone to explore their creativity and let go of their inhibitions a bit. He was also sincerely supportive of each and every person and he really helped to make it a great day.
Jim Robinson, always in his element in sketch work, has comic timing hard-wired inside him.
Hands down, one of my favorite professors at St. Kate's! He makes the class very interesting and entertaining, and explains the material really well through the use of examples and stories. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
